Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, film and television star born January 31 1937, died on January 19, 2008. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films in late 1950s. In later years, she was an important actor in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette was an recurring guest on a variety of TV productions. She also appeared in Emily Hartley, which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist , and choreographer, performing under the stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
